2021 Easter Family Fun Ideas

Egg day is on the horizon! Do you have your family festivities planned? If you’re looking for some ideas and inspiration to shake things up this year, here are some activities that everyone can enjoy:

Go to the Bunny Photo Experience

If you’re in the Phoenix metropolitan area and are looking to go out for a smaller family experience for the little ones, why not go to the Bunny Photo Experience at Arizona Mills? This socially-distanced event will give children the opportunity to take a photo with the Easter Bunny himself, and reservations are encouraged. Check the calendar for an appointment that works for you!

Easter Egg Free Throws

Set up a net or basket and mark a standing point with tape next to a selection of plastic eggs filled with candy and/or other prizes for each player to throw. Whichever eggs make it in, the thrower gets to keep! If you’re looking for an adult spin on the game, you can fill the eggs with redeemable prize vouchers or cash instead.

Guess the Amount

Fill a clear jar with easter candy like chocolate eggs or assorted jelly beans. Everyone who wants the chance to take the jar home will guess how many eggs or beans are in the jar, and whoever is closest to the actual number wins!

Egg and Spoon Race

This is a simple game that can be played with large serving spoons and painted eggs. Give a single egg and spoon to each racer and mark the starting and finish lines with tape. After the count down, it’s off to the races and whoever wins gets a prize of your choice, like a full Easter basket or gift card!

Chocolate Bunny Fondue

Not everyone is excited about taking home a giant chocolate bunny to devour in one guilty sitting. Take this opportunity to set up a fondue pot with a fruit plate and let them share their bounty with everyone in a slightly healthier way. To add a little more variety, set up a plate with other goodies like marshmallows or pretzels.

Easter Arts & Crafts

Set up a table with a protective sheet and supplies of your choice for a fun, creative activity. This can be anything simple or complex from egg painting to creating your very own bunny soap bars! If you need more activity ideas for the kiddos, you can check out these 25+ Easter Crafts for Kids for more inspiration. And, if you want something more for the adults, try setting up a wine and paint activity with an Easter-themed still life.

Easter Garden

If you have a green thumb in the family and an empty patch or planter that needs some attention, turn it into a fun family project! After all, Easter is about rebirth, so why not use the opportunity to breathe fresh life into the garden? Seeing the new plants bloom and flourish at future family gatherings will help everyone feel a sense of accomplishment and bring everyone closer together.
